Anti Bacterial & Hypoallergenic
Bamboo Fabric contains a naturally occurring anti microbial agent called Kun that prevents odour-producing bacteria from cultivating on it, allowing bamboo clothing to be more hygienic, fresh and odour free. Due to the bamboo fibre’s organic and naturally smooth properties, the fabric is delicate on the skin, making it ideal for people with skin sensitivities.
Wicking & UV Rays Protection
Bamboo clothing has the ability to make you feel warmer in the winters and cooler in the summers. Bamboo fabric has excellent wicking properties. Bamboo fibres have various micro-holes, which allows the fabric to absorb and evaporate moisture rapidly. By wicking away moisture from skin, it prevents bacteria build up and rashes that can develop from irritated wet skin. This makes it particularly suited for performance and active wear. Bamboo naturally provides added protection against the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Eco Friendly & Renewable Resource
Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on our planet making it an incredible renewable resource. Some species of bamboo can grow more than three feet each day! It takes much less energy to grow and sustain bamboo than other similar trees and plants use for fibre production. Bamboo requires very little maintenance, minimal water and can be grown without the use of pesticides or chemicals. When it is harvested, it will grow a new shoot from its extensive root system with no need for additional planting or cultivation thereby helping soil stability. It is 100% biodegradable and can be completely decomposed in the soil by mirco-organisms and sunlight without releasing any pollutants.
Wash & Care
Bamboo clothing is quite simple to care for. It can be machine or hand washed in cool to lukewarm water with mild detergent. Shrinkage is minimal and it is best to air-dry bamboo clothing rather than in a dryer. Bamboo clothing is, to an extent, naturally wrinkle-resistant and if ironing is required, do so at a lower temperature setting.
